Larry Price is a self-taught freelance nature photographer and a S.C. Master Naturalist. This SC native began photographing at an early age. His love for the outdoors was always a factor as to what subjects he photographed. As a young man, he was often outdoors fishing and hunting and just roaming the woods. In 1995 Larry was one of the first free lance photographers to have images published in the calendar of SC Wildlife and be paid. Many of his images were published in their quarterly magazine as well.
Over the years, he has won several awards for his work. Among his achievements are 2002 third place, and 2003 first place in the National Wild Turkey Federation Photo contest. His work is often seen on tourism brochures for South Carolina, the most recent being the Santee Cooper Country visitors guides for 2007and for 2008.

He has recently retired from his full-time job at the Savannah River Site, and has begun to photograph full-time. He offers photo workshops and outings for nature lovers. Larry has photographed all over the US, but SC is his preferred area of interest. His work has recently been on tour with the SC State Museum. He also has some work at the Charleston Aquarium.

We are excited to announce that we are currently working on an extraordinary book on the Edisto River with Jogglingboard Press out of Charleston, SC.
